Doug is a shareholder in the firm’s litigation department.  Doug is Myrtle Beach landlord tenant laywer and also focuses on foreclosures and collections, and general civil business litigation matters.  Doug has also appeared before the South Carolina Court of Appeals, South Carolina Supreme Court, and the United States Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals in many appellate cases.

Doug is a native of Johnstown, New York and graduated from the State University of New York College at Potsdam with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science in 1987.  After college, Doug spent several years as a computer consultant in Boston, Massachusetts and Columbia, South Carolina before deciding to go to law school in 1993.

In 1996, Doug graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he was the Associate Editor-in-Chief of the South Carolina Environmental Law Journal. Following graduation, Doug became the first law clerk of the Honorable John Breeden.  Following his clerkship, Doug joined the firm as an associate in 1997.
