Jay joined the Bellamy Law Firm in 2017 as an associate practicing primarily in tax and estate planning.

Jay graduated cum laude from the University of South Carolina in 2011 with a double major in history and political science.  During his time at the University of South Carolina, he contributed to a major research project concerning the history of the historic Horseshoe and also worked at the McKissick Museum.

Jay graduated from the Charleston School of Law with honors in 2016, where he served as an Associate Articles Editor for the Charleston Law Review, the flagship law review of the school, as well as being a proud member of Mary Street FC, the de facto official soccer club of the school. 

In 2017, Jay earned a Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Florida’s esteemed LL.M. program. 

In his free time, Jay likes to stay active through surfing, kayaking, basketball, and golf.  Jay is a self-taught musician, playing guitar and banjo, and strives to see as much live music as he can both locally and regionally.
