Biography

David was born in Florence, South Carolina in 1960. In 1982, he graduated from Francis Marion College in Florence with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. David then attended the University of South Carolina School of Law and graduated in 1987. While in law school he clerked for the Willcox Law Firm in Florence, and the Bellamy Law Firm in Myrtle Beach.

David joined the Bellamy Law Firm following graduation in 1988 and, for the first three years here, his practice involved real estate transactions. Currently, David’s practice ranges widely into all aspects of civil business, real estate, and construction related litigation. He is well experienced in complex litigation involving insurance, probate, development, and personal injury. David is the managing partner of the Firm’s litigation department, and in 2007 became the Vice President of the Bellamy Law Firm. He is a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, the South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association, and Horry County and South Carolina Bar Associations. David is also a certified mediator.

David, his wife, and two sons live in Murrells Inlet and are members of Belin Memorial United Methodist Church.
